No problem! I'll try to help
I'm certainly not "popular" around here, but I can give some advice based on my experience and what other artists shared. The best way to get recognized, in my opinion, is to produce quality work AND be good at promoting it.
Practice a lot, improve your basic skills (anatomy, perspective, your grasp on color/light and volume; there are so many tutorials, informative videos and resources on the Internet) and post all your results here. Post often, if you can. I never do that because I'm ashamed of almost everything I draw and showing my art is especially painful to me. Try not to get hindered by this kind of stuff, if you can. Share all you can! Criticism is invaluable.
Drawing fanart and participating in contests and tournaments will help a ton in getting noticed, as a lot of people are already involved in those activities and you're a lot more likely to be discovered by others that way. Post art into groups, that helps too.
Comment on other people's art when you mean it, ask for advice if you want (you're so polite
). Interacting with others is the best way to interest people in visiting your profile.
It's a lot of work! We need to be patient and hardworking.
There is no shortcut. That is, if you want to be a respectable user - otherwise you could go for the nasty route and start trolling and generating drama. I don't recomment that, but I'm sure you have common sense and already know it's not a good option
